What started as an activity to help pass the time while waiting to “recover” from a traumatic experience – developed into an art exhibit – which transformed into a movement that challenges the culturally accepted beliefs of what it means to be “recovered.” Visitors became active participants in finding new ways to put the pieces of themselves together in an artful, creative and insightful form of recovery.
